From its roots as the Information Technology Center under Viettel Trade and Import-Export Corporation, August 30, 2023 marked a new milestone when Viettel Software was officially established and embarked on a journey with a greater mission.
Building on the technology foundation developed over the years, a software company with greater ambitions began to take shape: building its team, strengthening its delivery capabilities, expanding into new markets, and gradually establishing its position in the IT industry.
The early days were far from a smooth journey. Some projects demanded a race against tight deadlines. Some markets began with nothing more than the first few meetings. Some products went through multiple rounds of testing and refinement before earning recognition from customers and the market. Every completed project, every customer won over, and every engineer who grew through their work contributed to the Viettel Software of today.
By 2026, the organization had grown to more than 2,000 employees and technology engineers. Alongside this growth in people came an increasingly solid foundation in processes, quality, and software development capabilities, supported by international standards such as ISO 9001 and CMMI Level 5. This was not simply growth in scale. It was the journey of an organization growing stronger through its own capabilities.
Stepping Outside to Discover How Far We Can Go
Viettel was where Viettel Software was shaped by major projects, demanding requirements, and large-scale technology challenges. But growth requires stepping beyond familiar ground. Viettel Software began entering the broader market, seeking customers beyond the Viettel ecosystem, expanding its operations in Vietnam, and gradually reaching international markets.
Projects with KT Corporation in South Korea, Lufthansa in Germany, and many other domestic and international customers brought Viettel Software engineers into new environments, where quality, speed, discipline, and adaptability were held to higher standards.
The market beyond Viettel continued to expand. Business operations maintained their growth momentum year after year. More importantly, Viettel Software increasingly began to be recognized not simply by the name behind it, but by its own technological capabilities and execution strength. Every new market brought another challenge. And with each challenge, Viettel Software pushed its own boundaries a little further.
When Viettel Software Products Earn Global Recognition
There is a different kind of pride when a product created by our own people moves beyond the boundaries of a single project and earns recognition from the global technology community.
- iSpectra – a real-time solution for monitoring, analyzing, and managing mobile network interference – received the Gold Globee Awards 2026 and Silver Stevie® Awards 2026.
- Viettel SkyBook made its mark at the Gold Globee Awards, Stevie Gold Technology Excellence Awards, and the 5-star Sao Khue Awards.
On another front, vAgents, an AI Agent platform, is opening up new possibilities for bringing “digital employees” into real-world enterprise operations - supporting continuous task execution, connecting data, and becoming more deeply involved in business processes.
Every award is a form of recognition. But behind every medal and every product name announced on stage are countless hours of research, testing, and rework by engineering teams. Perhaps this is one of the most memorable milestones of the past three years: products created by Viettel Software people are beginning to gain recognition beyond Vietnam.
AI Is Creating a Different Viettel Software
The past three years have also coincided with an unprecedented transformation in the software industry. AI has rapidly evolved from a technology widely discussed into an everyday working tool. At Viettel Software, AI is becoming increasingly embedded throughout the product development process - from requirements analysis, coding, and testing to code review and operational support.
Productivity has changed significantly across many stages. Tasks that once required many hours can now be completed in considerably less time; engineers can handle larger workloads and devote more time to challenges that genuinely require human reasoning.
But the biggest change is not simply how much faster AI can help us write code. It is the question each person must now ask: when technology can increasingly take over more of our work, where will our new value lie?
The answer lies in mastering technology, deeply understanding business challenges, creating solutions, and continuously learning. This is also the transformation Viettel Software is undertaking - not simply adopting AI, but building a workforce that knows how to work with AI and grow alongside it.

The milestones of a company are often told through revenue, projects, customers, or awards. But today’s Viettel Software was built first and foremost by more than 2,000 people.
They are engineers who have stayed up with a system until the moment of acceptance; project teams working with customers across different time zones; people who started with their first lines of code and grew into experts and managers; and the new generations who are just beginning their own journeys.
Some have been here since the early days. Others have only just begun. Yet every contribution - whether on a major project or through a small task behind the scenes - is part of Viettel Software’s three-year journey.
Perhaps the greatest source of pride is not simply that Viettel Software now has more than 2,000 people, but that more than 2,000 people are looking in the same direction and believe that we can go even further.
AI X3.0 – The Beginning of a New Version
At its three-year milestone, Viettel Software chose AI X3.0 as a way to describe the next version of itself. “3.0” marks three years, but it also represents a new version shaped by a journey of accumulated experience and growth.
AI is the companion in this new version - embedded in products, in daily work, and in the way the organization operates.
“X” represents the spirit of Explore – Execute – Expand – Exceed – Excellence: the courage to explore, the determination to execute, the ambition to expand boundaries, the drive to exceed existing standards, and the pursuit of greater value.
The ultimate goals remain highly tangible: higher productivity, greater efficiency, and more value for customers, partners, and society.
AI X3.0 is therefore more than a theme for an anniversary celebration. It is a reminder that Viettel Software cannot grow by continuing to do everything the way it did three years ago.

From the first steps to a team of more than 2,000 people. From projects within Viettel to international customers. From products built by Vietnamese engineers to moments when those products are recognized at global technology awards.
Viettel Software’s three-year journey has been shaped by countless steps like these. Not every step was easy. Not every achievement came on the first attempt. It is this journey that has shaped a more resilient, confident Viettel Software - one ready to enter a larger arena.
Ahead lies the ambition to join the ranks of Vietnam’s leading ITO companies, expand its presence in international markets, and continue bringing Vietnamese technology products and expertise further into the world.
